DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Zero-Movement Boom and On-the-Fly Clamcleat Trim
The new Ozone carbon boom on the Fusion V3 Ultra-X features a central support strap that eliminates all unwanted play. This creates an ultra-rigid connection between you and the wing, for more precise steering and direct feedback. At the rear of the boom, a Clamcleat allows you to adjust the trailing edge tension while riding, letting you hold deeper downwind angles, maintain more power, and regain low-end power when the wind drops. On the 5m and 5.5m sizes, the leash attaches to the strut for a complete flag-out in strong wind. On 6m and larger wings, the attachment point is moved in front of the strut for a shorter leash, less drag, and smoother transitions.
100% Ram Air Double Surface: The Fusion's Signature
The heart of the Fusion is Ozone's patented double-skin design, inherited from paragliding, foil kites, and wingsuits. Air enters through the Ram Air intakes, which are XL-sized specifically for each wing, pressurizing a continuous cell between the upper and lower surfaces. An internal rib structure manages the dynamic pressure differentials. This eliminates the vortex drag from the leading edge, allowing the wing to handle gusts with total stability and drive upwind at speeds impossible for a single-skin design. The proven lightweight double ripstop fabric from the V1/V2 models is retained.
Aluula Airframe, Reworked Planform, and V2 Sizing
The central leading edge panels are now made with Aluula GH-124, a material stiffer than Dacron. This increases the airframe's overall rigidity for a more direct feel and improved durability. The leading edge has been straightened and the wingspan reduced on each size for a higher top speed and more accessible handling. The wing's profile is thinner while the camber is increased, resulting in less drag and better light wind performance. For V2 riders: the V3 follows the IWSA standard (projected area), meaning a V3 6m corresponds to a V2 6.5m, and the V3 7m is larger than the V2 7.3m. Be sure to adjust your size choice.

The Fusion V3 Ultra-X is for advanced riders who have already mastered tacks, jibes, and controlled jumps. It's the go-to wing for IWSA/Formula racers and freeriders who demand maximum speed and radical angles. For optimal performance, we recommend pairing it with high-performance foils.
The V3 Ultra-X has three main upgrades: a zero-movement carbon boom with a central strap, a Clamcleat trim that's adjustable while riding, and a completely reworked planform featuring straighter tips, increased camber, and a reduced wingspan. Plus, the sizing now adheres to IWSA standards, meaning a V3 6m is roughly equivalent to a V2 6.5m.
The pressurized cell between the upper and lower panels eliminates the vortex drag behind the leading edge, a common issue with single-skin wings. This design delivers significantly reduced drag, resulting in a higher top speed, excellent gust handling, and superior upwind angles.
For a rider weighing 80kg, the 6m is your sweet spot for 13-21 knots, while the 5.5m will take you up to 23 knots, and the 7m gets you going from 11 knots. The Ram Air intakes are designed to block water entry. If any water gets in, the four drain holes clear it out quickly. Ozone advises against using this wing for wave riding. Always allow the wing to dry thoroughly in the shade before packing it away.
