Updated July 2026
Kitesurf accessories are the key to transforming a good session into a perfect one. From pads and footstraps to pumps, fins, leashes, and spare parts, every detail matters. Since 2005, our expert team at GlissEvolution in Pornichet has been matching riders with the right gear, ensuring brand compatibility and helping you find exactly what you need. This section is part of our wider accessories range; don't forget to check out our kites, boards, bars, and harnesses too.
Pads and Footstraps
Pads are essential for grip and comfort underfoot. Choose from single or multi-piece designs to match your stance, or opt for full pads for strapless riding. Footstraps keep your feet connected to the board: standard adjustable models offer versatility, ergonomic designs are perfect for long sessions, and bindings provide maximum hold for wakestyle. Adjust them just tight enough to prevent slipping, but loose enough for a quick release in a fall. We stock top brands like Duotone (Entity Ergo), Core (Union Pro and Comfort), F-ONE (Platinium), and Eleveight.
Pumps
A double-action pump will inflate your kite twice as fast as a single pump, working on both the up and down strokes. Always choose a model with a pressure gauge to avoid over-inflating; the recommended pressure is typically between 6 and 9 PSI. For effortless inflation, especially if you have multiple kites, electric pumps are a game-changer. Explore our full range in the pumps section.
Fins
Fins significantly impact your board's tracking and handling. Larger fins provide greater stability, ideal for freeride, while smaller fins are preferred for freestyle and strapless riding. Always verify the mounting system (Futures, FCS, US Box) before making a purchase. Our selection includes Duotone, Core, Eleveight, and our exclusive GlissEvolution x Nomads collaboration.
Leash and Safety
Your safety leash connects you to the kite via its release system. Regularly inspect its condition and replace it at the first sign of wear, just as you would the red safety lines on your bar. You'll also find line cutters and vests in our safety section.
Spare Parts
Keep your gear in top condition with our range of spare parts for maintenance and repairs. We stock replacement lines, chicken loops (a common wear part), adhesive valves for kites, screws and washers for footstraps and fins, and connection pigtails. Always having a few spare parts in your bag can truly save a session.
Comfort and Transport
From ponchos for warm changing and neoprene hangers to key boxes and neoprene care products, these small accessories make life easier before and after your session. For protecting and transporting your gear, be sure to check out our travel gear section.

Frequently Asked Questions
Which pump should you choose for kitesurfing?
A double-action pump, which inflates on both the upstroke and downstroke, with a pressure gauge. Electric pumps are ideal if you have multiple kites.
Straps or bindings for beginners?
Straps are easier to adjust and release in case of a fall. Bindings offer more support for advanced wakestyle but are more restrictive.
When should you replace your fins?
As soon as they are chipped or cracked: a damaged fin loses performance and can cause injury. Check them after any contact with the bottom.
What pressure should you inflate your kite to?
Generally 6 to 9 PSI depending on the brand: check the indications on the kite. Over-inflated, it risks bursting; under-inflated, it loses performance.
How do you choose the size of your footstraps?
Most are adjustable and cover a wide range of shoe sizes. Try them with your neoprene boots: your foot should be held without being compressed.
How do you maintain your pads?
Rinse them with fresh water after each session to remove salt and let them dry in the shade: this way they retain their grip longer.
