This is an engineer's brand, known for its ExoTex and CoreTex constructions. Their focused range means each kite has a precise role. You won't find a catch-all model at CORE; you need to know what you're looking for, and that's where we come in.

Four kite families, each with a clear purpose
The XR X is CORE's high-performance freeride and big air kite. This is our top recommendation for riders who want a single kite for jumping.
The XR Pro V2 offers the same philosophy with superior construction. It delivers ultra-high performance. The price difference is worth it for very regular use, but not otherwise.
The Pace is the most versatile kite in the catalog, rated by CORE for freeride, big air, freestyle, and wave. If you're torn between several riding disciplines, this is the one. The Pace Pro 2 pushes the needle towards kiteloops and freestyle.
The NXS is designed for wave, freeride, and foil. This kite replaces the Nexus. It targets a different terrain than the XR: drift and repositioning rather than boost.
The Air and Air Pro are your light wind specialists. They get you out for sessions when other kites in the range can't handle it.
The Sensor Bars, including the current Sensor 4S and 4S Pro versions, and the still-available Sensor 4 and 4 Pro, are among the few bars requested by name. They mount on all CORE kites.
Twin-tips: Choice 7 for performance, Fusion 7 for versatility, Era for comfort. The Imperator 7 belongs to the Carved line, the high-end series crafted in Fehmarn.

CORE Wing Foil
Two wings, two intentions, and one board that handles both
The Halo is CORE's versatile wing, designed for comfort. We recommend it for learning and for long-term progression.
The Halo Pro V2 is the performance version. It features a carbon boom. It's more direct, stiffer, and more demanding in terms of placement.
The Lotus is wave-oriented, designed specifically for that terrain. It's not a learning wing, and it doesn't aim to be.
The Roamer V2 is a progressive all-rounder board. If you're a beginner, choose more volume. Flotation margin is what helps you progress fastest in wing foiling.
CORE Foils and accessories
A common system for both kite and wing, and that's the whole point
The CFS, or Compatible Foil System, is the back stiffener of the foil range. The same fuselage and stabilizer work for both Kite and wing. You change the Front Wing depending on your session.
The ELXR is the Front Wing of the range. We also stock the CFS fuselage and the CFS stabilizer individually. This lets you upgrade an existing foil without buying everything new.
Our Union pads and straps include the Union Comfort, Union Pro 5, and Union Ultra 2. These are the number one wear parts on a twin-tip. Changing the pads makes the board feel new again for a fraction of the price.
Complete your setup with the CORE 3 pump, Orca Pro fins, handles, and nose pads. We keep spare parts in stock. That's what makes a German board last.
Which CORE to choose

I want one kite to do it all.
The Pace. CORE advertises it for freeride, big air, freestyle, and wave. It's the widest in the range, both on paper and on the water.
I want to jump high.
The XR X, or the XR Pro V2 if you ride very often. This is the family on which the brand built its reputation in big air.
I ride waves
The NXS is rated for wave, freeride, and foil. It's definitely not an XR, which isn't designed for this kind of riding.
There's never any wind where I live
The Air, or the Air Pro with its superior construction, is the only serious answer in the range for light wind conditions.
I'm changing my kiteboard.
For versatility, grab the Fusion 7. If you push hard, the Choice 7 is for you. If comfort is paramount, go with the Era. The Imperator 7 is a step above, part of the Carved line.
I'm new to wing foil.
The Halo and a Roamer V2 with volume are great choices. Don't get the Halo Pro to learn; it's more demanding, and you won't enjoy it.
I want to upgrade my foil.
Stay with CFS and just change the Front Wing. The fuselage and stabilizer are sold individually, so there's no need to buy a complete foil.
My board is worn out.
New Union pads and straps, and possibly new fins, are the cheapest and most effective way to refurbish your board.
I'm looking for a good deal.
The sale section features previous models, including the Nexus V4, the Section 5, and the XC wing. These are excellent wings, simply replaced in the catalog.

Short answers, no beating around the bush.
XR or Pace?
The XR is geared towards freeride and big air. The Pace also covers freestyle and wave riding. If you only ride to jump, choose the XR. If you want a wing that performs everywhere, choose the Pace.
What happened to the Nexus?
It has been replaced by the NXS in the catalog. If you're looking for a Nexus, check out the NXS and the sale section, where we still have new Nexus V4s available.
And the Section, does it still exist?
It's no longer in the current catalog. For wave riding, the NXS replaces it. We still have new Section 5s on sale, and it's a great deal for those who know the wing.
Standard or Pro version?
Both versions have the same shape, but the Pro features superior construction. The Pro is lighter and more responsive. For two sessions a month, the standard version is more than enough.
Halo or Halo Pro?
The Halo is the comfortable all-rounder. The Halo Pro V2 adds a carbon boom and stiffness. For learning and progressing, choose the Halo. For seeking performance, choose the Pro.
Halo or Lotus?
The Halo is versatile. The brand markets the Lotus for wave riding. If you don't surf with your wing, the Lotus won't offer you anything extra.

Where does the CORE brand come from?
CORE Kiteboarding is a German brand. It's located on the island of Fehmarn in the Baltic Sea and has been around since 2001. Development and testing happen on-site before final validation elsewhere (source: ridecore.com, consulted on 23/08/2026). CORE is a brand built by engineers, and they keep their product range deliberately focused.
Which CORE kite should you choose to start and progress?
Go with the Pace. CORE markets it for freeride, big air, freestyle, and wave. It's the broadest kite in their range and will stick with you the longest. If your main goal is jumping, the XR X offers a more direct feel. For wave riding, the NXS is your best bet. CORE doesn't make all-rounder kites; each model targets a specific riding style.
What's the difference between the XR and the Pace?
The brand describes the XR as a high-performance freeride and big air kite. The Pace covers the same ground but also excels in freestyle and wave riding. If you only ride to jump, grab the XR. If you want a single kite that can handle everything, the Pace is the one for you.
Does the Nexus still exist?
No, the NXS has replaced it in the current catalog. The NXS covers wave, freeride, and foil disciplines. We still have new Nexus V4 kites in our sale section. It's the same kite, just with a new name and an updated version.
What about the Section?
The Section is no longer in the brand's current catalog. For wave riding, the NXS is its replacement. We still have new Section 5 kites on sale. For a rider who already knows the kite, this is a fantastic deal.
How good are the Pro versions?
They feature the same shape but with a superior construction. This makes them lighter, more responsive, and more expensive. The XR Pro V2 and Pace Pro 2 are worth it if you ride very regularly. If you only get out twice a month, the standard version will give you the same enjoyment.
What are ExoTex and CoreTex?
These are the fabrics CORE developed for their kites. They focus on stiffness and long-term durability. These two points are central to CORE's marketing. In practice, a well-maintained CORE kite holds its shape for a long time. We see this firsthand with our second-hand trade-ins.
Does the Sensor bar work with all CORE kites?
Yes, the Sensor is CORE's in-house bar. It works with their entire kite range. The current versions are the Sensor 4S and 4S Pro. We still have Sensor 4 and 4 Pro bars available. If you're thinking of using a CORE kite with a bar from another brand, let's chat first. The length of the lines and the throw significantly change the kite's behavior.
Which CORE wing should I choose to learn?
The Halo is designed for comfort, especially with the high-volume Roamer V2 board. The Halo Pro V2 and its carbon boom are stiffer and demand more precise placement. This is great once you're already flying, but it can be frustrating for learning.
What is the CFS system?
The CFS, or Compatible Foil System, lets you use the same fuselage and stabilizer for both kite and wing foiling. You only need to change the Front Wing depending on your session. This means you can upgrade your foil without buying a whole new setup. We sell the fuselage and stabilizer individually.
Where can I find CORE spare parts?
Right here at the shop. We keep Union pads and straps, Orca Pro fins, handles, pumps, and bar parts in stock. Replacing the pads on a worn-out twin-tip is much cheaper than a new board, and it really changes the ride feel.
Can I try CORE gear?
Come visit us or make an appointment. With such specialized gear, you'll feel the difference between an XR and an NXS from your very first session. You won't find that on a specifications sheet. We also host test days, so ask us for upcoming dates.
What happens if something breaks or I have a warranty claim?
Bring your gear to the shop. As an authorized dealer, we'll handle the claim with the brand and manage any part exchanges. For canopy repairs and bladder replacements, we have an on-site workshop right here in Pornichet.
