Eleveight RS V10 2026: Test and Review Kitesurf Big Air

Updated April 11, 2025 · 5 min read

A hangtime machine: that's the reputation of the RS range, and the 2026 V10 confirms it. Cedric Coince, Eleveight ambassador, pushed the 10 m² in 20 knots of steady wind in Saint-Brevin, with committed freeride and Big Air. We'll explain what it's worth, who it's for, and what to expect on the water.

Thanks to Cedric Coince for his field feedback.

The Eleveight RS V10 2026 is an allround kitesurf kite designed for Big Air and committed freeride. It's the tenth version of the RS range, available from €1.339.

Tested in 10 m² by Cedric Coince in 20 knots of steady wind in Saint-Brevin-les-Rochelets: exceptional lift, reassuring kiteloops, direct bar, and very progressive depower. The only reservation is that the test was limited to 20 knots, so its behavior in strong winds was not evaluated.

Who is the Eleveight RS V10 for?

According to Cedric Coince's test, the RS V10 2026 suits any kiter looking for a Big Air and committed freeride kite with maximum lift. Its direct and precise bar, very progressive depower, and exemplary stability make it an accessible kite for anyone looking to progress in height or kiteloops. Its excellent upwind performance in On-Shore wind is an additional asset.

Conversely, if you are a beginner or looking for a more forgiving and easy-to-relaunch kite, opt for a more accessible model from our selection of kites.

Which Eleveight RS V10 size should you choose?

The RS V10 is available in nine sizes, from 5 to 17 m², ranging from €1.339 to €1.989 depending on the size. Cedric tested the 10 m² (€1.669), a safe bet for committed freeride and Big Air in 15 to 25 knots.

Our detailed test of the Eleveight RS V10

The field feedback comes from Cedric Coince, Eleveight ambassador at GlissEvolution, who rode the RS V10 in 10 m² for 2 hours in Saint-Brevin-les-Rochelets, in 20 knots of steady On-Shore wind, with a Master C+ board and CS Vary bar.

The spot: Saint-Brevin-les-Rochelets

The Rochelets spot is well-known to kitesurfers in Loire-Atlantique. In On-Shore wind, chop forms quickly, and the shore waves are short and disorganized. An ideal playground to gauge a kite's stability and handling in real conditions.

Conditions on April 11th

Wind steady at 20 knots, Northwest/West direction, On-Shore orientation. Choppy water, pronounced chop, and small disorganized waves. Cedric Coince maintained a 2-hour session of committed freeride and Big Air: a perfect context to evaluate the kite's behavior upwind and during worked jumps.

Inflation and preparation

Setup is quick. The large valve facilitates inflation. The structure feels very rigid to the touch; you can feel a sound construction ready for all conditions.

On-Shore Take-off

In On-Shore wind, the kite rises smoothly without jerking. It quickly settles at the edge of the window, making it easier to launch in choppy water.

Handling

Very lively for a 10m². The pivot is clean and predictable. In a kiteloop, the kite turns fluidly without flapping. It doesn't try to pull horizontally but maintains constant traction.

Bar and Pressure

Medium, direct pressure. You know exactly where the kite is at all times. This direct feeling allows you to initiate jumps with surgical precision.

Depower

Very progressive. In 20 knots, you can instantly depower to calm the kite at the end of a flight or manage a gust.

Stability

Exemplary. The kite remains "rock solid" overhead. This stability is the key to its lift: once in the air, it doesn't move and literally carries the rider, transforming the jump into a glide.

Lift and Hangtime

This is a major highlight. In 20 knots, the kite offers powerful vertical lift and a parachute-like descent. You stay suspended much longer than expected, which greatly secures landings in the choppy waters of Les Rochelets. The kite seems to refuse to descend once the peak is reached. This feeling is amplified by the Master C+, which allows for high edging speed before the jump.

Kiteloops and Recovery

Very reassuring. The loop is clean, and the kite's ascent to the zenith is ultra-fast. After the loop, the kite instantly rises: the strong lift recovers the rider before impact, ensuring soft landings even after an engaged rotation. In 20 knots, it's the perfect tool to commit without fear.

Upwind and On-Shore Wind

Despite the on-shore wind, upwind performance remains excellent. The kite doesn't saturate at the edge of the window and allows for very easy exit from the shore break zone.

Noise and Arm Fatigue

Very quiet profile, even when depowered. No parasitic vibrations in the ears during tight turns. Low arm fatigue after 2 hours: the RS V10 and Master C+ (high-performance carbon) combo allows you to stay physically fresh throughout the session.

In Summary: Our Review of the Eleveight RS V10

Cedric Coince confirms the highlights of the RS V10 2026 in real and demanding conditions. Its lift is its main asset: jumps last, landings are secure, and kiteloops are reassuring. The direct bar and very progressive depower complete the package well. The combo with the Master C+ provides additional comfort thanks to the board's carbon absorption.

In the 20 knots of Saint-Brevin, Cedric Coince confirms: the RS V10 2026 delivers on its promises. The lift is exceptional, the depower very progressive, and the kiteloops reassuring. The RS V10 2026 is an allround and solid choice in 10m².

"Once in the air, it refuses to come down: that's exactly what you expect from an RS." Cedric Coince, Eleveight ambassador, GlissEvolution
