A design by Lost
The deck uses the same design as the Lost Hydra surfboards, with a fish tail shape and a 10.5-inch width. At 29 inches long with a 16-inch wheelbase, it's highly maneuverable and easy to take anywhere. Built by Carver from seven-ply maple, this board delivers flawless reliability and durability.
The CX truck system in detail
The CX is Carver's single-axis truck system. Its patented geometry uses a 90-degree reverse kingpin, which lets the hanger pivot far more than a standard skate truck, while a precision pivot provides instant response under pressure. Carver compares the feel to a modern thruster surfboard: sharp turns, crisp cut-backs, and a fast, progressive ride. With fewer moving parts, it also requires less maintenance than the C7 and weighs the same as a traditional truck. It's the top choice for shortboard surfers and riders who spend time in the skatepark, riding transition or hitting airs. The rear truck is a Carver C2.
Original setup
The board is delivered fully assembled and ready to roll. It comes factory-equipped with 70mm 78a Roundhouse Mag wheels, Carver ABEC 7 bearings built right into the wheels, two 3/16-inch Carver risers (for a total of 3/8-inch), and 1.25-inch Carver hardware. Roundhouse is Carver's in-house wheel brand, designed specifically for surfskating: their shape and urethane formula prioritize grip under pressure and a smooth roll over pure speed. Nothing to add or assemble, just pull the board out of the box and go.
CX or C7: which to choose?
The CX truck system is designed for all-around surfskate performance. It's great for cruising, carving, and surf training, and is also accessible to beginners. The board comes complete and ready to ride. Carver sums up the choice between its two truck systems like this: the CX gives you a quicker, snappier rail-to-rail feel, while the C7 delivers a smoother, more drawn-out surfing sensation.
