Data sheet updated in March 2026
The most intuitive do-it-all kite on the market, the Reedin Supermodel A.F.T. 2026 excels across all disciplines, delivering consistent power through turns and precise control. For 2026, Reedin has moved away from traditional dacron on the Leading Edge, opting instead for Aerolite Frame Technology (A.F.T.). This high-tenacity material, already proven on Reedin wings, combines exceptional stiffness with flexible torsional properties in the bias. The result is a lighter, stronger frame that offers all the benefits of the previous HTF construction.
KEY INFORMATION
What we like
- Aerolite Frame Technology (A.F.T.): A superior grade Leading Edge material with a tighter, more reactive, more responsive, and stiffer weave than HTF.
- Lightweight construction: Refinements in the manufacturing process have resulted in even less weight than before.
- Improved 12-point pulley-less bridles: Re-engineered to perfectly match the stiffness of the new A.F.T. frame.
- Trailing Edge Stiffeners: These reduce drag on the kite during turns, allowing for sharper rotations.
- Extremely wide wind range: From 11 to 40+ knots, depending on the kite size.
- Direct and intuitive bar feedback: Experience high jumps with a second lift, plus fast and predictable kiteloops.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Aerolite Frame Technology: The Evolution of HTF.
For 2026, Reedin takes a decisive step by completely abandoning dacron on the Leading Edge in favor of Aerolite Frame Technology. This high-tenacity material, already used on Reedin wings for several years, combines exceptional stiffness in one direction with perfectly flexible torsion in the bias. This is the fusion of the advantages of the old HTF construction into a single lighter and stronger material.
Stiffer Frame, More Precise Steering.
The Supermodel A.F.T. maintains its shape even better in extreme conditions and responds superbly to steering inputs. Combined with reduced weight and bridle improvements, it is by far Reedin's most advanced and easiest-to-steer do-it-all kite, at the same price as before.
Reworked 12-Point Bridles.
To complement the new Aerolite frame, the bridles have been reworked to match its increased stiffness. The 12-point pulley-less system offers direct and intuitive bar feedback, high jumps with second lift, and fast, predictable kiteloops. The Trailing Edge Stiffeners reduce drag on the rear part of the kite during turns, for cleaner and more efficient rotations.
All Disciplines, All Conditions.
The Supermodel is designed for riders who want a single kite capable of doing it all. It offers fast and direct response, is easy to steer with excellent bar feedback, delivers high jumps with a second lift, and provides fast, predictable kiteloops, all within an extremely wide wind range. From the beginner looking for an intuitive kite to the pro wanting to push their tricks, the Supermodel delivers.

FAQ - REEDIN SUPERMODEL A.F.T. 2026
The HTF combined dacron in the center of the Leading Edge with FlexLite in the torsion zones. Aerolite Frame Technology (A.F.T.) takes it further: a superior, high-tenacity material completely replaces dacron on the Leading Edge, resulting in a lighter, stiffer, and more responsive kite. This is the same material Reedin has used on their wings for several years.
For a 75 kg rider on a 136 cm twin-tip: choose 5-7m for strong wind (20-40+ knots), 8-9m for medium wind (15-35 knots), and 10-12m for light wind to moderate conditions (11-29 knots).
24m lines are recommended for all sizes. For bar width: use 43 cm for 5-6m kites, 43-49 cm for 7-9m, and 49 cm for 10-12m.
Yes, absolutely! The Supermodel is engineered to be the most intuitive and easiest kite to steer. Its direct bar feedback, stability, and predictable behavior make it an excellent choice for progression. Advanced riders and pros also choose it for its exceptional big air and kiteloop performance.
For 2026, Aerolite Frame Technology replaces HTF, the 12-point bridles have been reworked, and trailing edge stiffeners ensure cleaner rotations. You'll also find a lighter construction, all while maintaining the same great price.
