The Universal Motor Pod is an essential part of your Foil Drive system and must be used with a Foil Drive mast adapter. Its universal outer shells are easy to swap between different masts by simply changing the internal mast adapter keys. The Universal Motor Pod combined with a mast adapter is the v2 evolution from the original one-piece motor pods. The shells are injection-molded from fiberglass-reinforced polycarbonate for maximum strength.
A Common Rear Section and Adapted Noses
Each Universal Motor Pod includes a common rear section where your motor attaches via the Motor Puck. The pod is fitted with a nose that matches the length of your mast adapter. Foil Drive offers different length noses (short and long) to cover the various mast adapter lengths. Just use the nose that corresponds to the mast adapter keys you are using; their lengths are clearly different, making the choice simple. Every Foil Drive kit already includes a set of these parts, so this product is for riders who want a second set or spares. Remember to add a mast adapter if you need one, as this set does not include it.

Is the mast adapter included?
No. This set includes the outer shells (large shell, nose, rear section) and 4 stainless steel screws. The mast adapter is not included and must be purchased separately. The Universal Motor Pod cannot be used without a Foil Drive mast adapter.
Is it compatible with different masts?
Yes. The shells are universal, so you can move them from one mast to another by changing the internal mast adapter keys. The motor attaches to the rear section using the Motor Puck.
