DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The Era of Ocean Surfing
The rise of new disciplines like K-WING and Pocket Wing is making downwinding more accessible. You can now ride downwind without the hassle of a bulky wing in freefly or a difficult paddle take-off. More riders are adopting an "Ocean Surfing" approach: a style of downwinding focused on carving, surfing bumps like an endless wave, far offshore and away from the crowds.
The second version of the EAGLE is the perfect tool for this discipline, offering a unique balance of performance and accessibility, glide and maneuverability. Its forgiving low end ensures easy take-offs and a smooth, confidence-inspiring ride. The 9.5 aspect ratio delivers the glide you need to connect bumps effortlessly and with maximum flow.
Unprecedented Downwind Maneuverability
What truly sets the EAGLE apart from other downwind foils is its maneuverability, which has been significantly improved with smaller winglets and a new, refined outline at the tips. F-ONE paid special attention to every phase of the turn: from the initial roll (rail-to-rail) to the exit, while maintaining pitch stability throughout.
Every move feels natural and effortless, yet the foil remains perfectly stable. This behavior is ideal for riders just getting into carving, as well as for experienced riders who want to push hard and lay down tight turns.
Drive That Makes the Difference
The unique profile of the new EAGLE is what makes all the difference. Despite its excellent low-end, it maintains a powerful and efficient drive, capturing every bit of energy from the bumps and converting it into forward acceleration.
A foil that propels you forward allows you to break away from a straight line and carve freely on the bumps, as the acceleration you generate makes up for the extra distance covered in a turn. This is exactly what the EAGLE delivers: a foil that naturally generates drive and speed, helping you maintain energy through your turns and draw your own line.
EAGLE vs EAGLE X
In the "Ocean Surfing" program, the EAGLE excels in rather steep and/or slow bumps (strong wind, short period), while the EAGLE X will be better suited to fast and/or rounder bumps (light wind, long swell).
Available in seven sizes (690 to 1290 cm²), the EAGLE is ideal for riders seeking performance in downwind carving, as well as total versatility whether in Pocket Wing, K-Wing, freeride, or for drawing endless lines downwind with a SUP.
