Step-by-step installation on the Duotone Electric Foil Assist system
Check Compatibility
The 3-blade SLS propeller is not compatible with the 2-blade propeller guard (included in the Foil Cruise Set AL). Before installation, remove the 2-blade propeller and its mount from the motor housing.
Required Tools and Screws
- Allen key #3 / M4
- 3 pins for the blades
- 4 M4x8 screws
- 2 M4x16 screws
- 1 M4x30 screw
Installation Steps
- Attach the 3-blade mount to the motor housing: Once the 2-blade mount is removed, place the 3-blade SLS mount onto the motor housing and secure it with 3 M4x8 screws.
- Prepare the blades: Insert a pin into the hole of each blade, then place all three blades onto the small mount.
- Central retaining plate: Place the small plate over the blades and insert an M4x8 screw into the central hole.
- Tighten the central screw firmly to secure the plate to the blades.
- Assemble on the motor: Position the small mount with the blades onto the bracket already fixed to the motor housing. Insert 2 short M4x16 screws and 1 long M4x30 screw, then tighten the assembly firmly.
- Final check: Ensure the blades open and close freely, without any stiff points.
