Sabfoil Balz Pro 805-325-85 Blackbird Kit, Modular Full Carbon Backtail. This full carbon Blackbird set was developed with Balz Müller for freestyle, wave, and freeride. It includes the Balz Pro 805 BB front wing, the FC/M modular full carbon fuselage, the Flat 325 stab, and the Blackbird 85 mast. Expect early take-off, high top speed, and pinpoint control.

Active Lift and optimised trim: the front wing generates extra lift for earlier take-off, reducing the load on the rear stab. Extreme structural stiffness: the aeronautics-inspired fuselage design increases torsional stiffness by over 20% compared to standard cylindrical fuselages. The FC/M Full Carbon modular fuselage minimises flex and torsion, lets you test different stabs and fine-tune the trim with shims, and ensures even smoother transitions.

Sabfoil designed the KBZ805-FCM-325-85/BB for Pro Freestyle riders, freestylers, freeriders, wave riders, and Fast Freeride. The modular configuration is particularly suited for riders who want to adjust their setup, switch between different stabs, or fine-tune the trim with shims.
Both Balz Pro 805 kits share the same front wing (WBZ805/BB) and mast (M85/BB), at the same price of €1879. The Modular Full Carbon (this kit) combines the FC/M modular fuselage and the Flat 325 stab (155 cm², AR 7.05) to allow setup adjustments; it weighs 3.69 kg. The Integrated Backtail uses a fuselage integrated with the Progressive 365 stab (170 cm², AR 8.2) for a more compact kit weighing 3.15 kg. Sabfoil states both versions have the same take-off and speed performance.
According to Sabfoil, the modular Full Carbon fuselage construction minimises flex and torsion. It allows you to test different stabs, fine-tune the trim with the included positive and negative shims, and ensures smoother transitions.
Yes, the kit includes all necessary components: WBZ805/BB front wing, FC/M fuselage, Flat 325 stab (SF/325), Piantone Blackbird 85 mast, Carbon Rail plate with titanium inserts (CP02K/Ti), and the complete screw and shim set (MHQ02, MH144, MH160, MH164, MH173, MH108, MHW060, and MHW061). The board is sold separately.
Sabfoil recommends the Cover Front Wing G bag (part number MA040) for the WBZ805/BB wing, and the Cover Mast B bag (part number MA022) for the mast.
