SABFOIL BALZ PRO 965 BLACKBIRD MODULAR KIT FAQ
Sabfoil describes the KBZ965-FCM-425-85/BB as a kit for Freestyle Pro riders, freestylers, freeriders, wave riders and Fast Freeride enthusiasts. The modular design is ideal for riders who want to customise their setup, swap between different stabilizers, or dial in their trim with the included shims.
Both Balz Pro 965 kits have the same front wing (WBZ965/BB) and mast (M85/BB), and the same price of €1899. The Modular Full Carbon (this kit) combines the FC/M modular fuselage with the Flat 425 stabilizer (266 cm², AR 6.8) to allow for setup adjustments; it weighs 3.98 kg. The Integrated Backtail uses a one-piece fuselage and stabilizer, the Progressive 385 (185 cm², AR 8.2), for a more compact kit weighing 3.65 kg. Sabfoil states the same take-off and top speeds (10-12 knots and 22-24 knots) for both versions.
Both Modular kits have the same mast (M85/BB) and FC/M modular fuselage. The difference is the front wing and stabilizer: the 965 has a 1210 cm² front wing (vs. 792 cm² for the 805) and a 266 cm² Flat 425 stabilizer (vs. the 155 cm² Flat 325). Yes, the kit includes everything you need to get it on the water: WBZ965/BB front wing, FC/M fuselage, Flat 425 stabilizer (SF/425), Piantone Blackbird 85 mast, Carbon Rail plate with titanium inserts (CP02K/Ti), and the full set of screws and shims (MHQ02, MH144, MH160, MH164, MH173, MH108, MHW060, and MHW061). You just need to add a board.
Sabfoil makes the Cover Front Wing H bag (SKU MA041) for the WBZ965/BB front wing. It's also a perfect fit for the WBZ905, WBZ965, BALZ909, BALZ969, WM899 and WM999 models. For the mast, there's the Sabfoil Cover Mast B bag (SKU MA022).
