MANON R, CORE Kite Ambassador

About me:

My name is Manon, I'm 35 years old, and I live in Pornichet, just a stone's throw from the ocean. I work as a tour manager for touring artists, a demanding job that often has me on the road. So when I get home, I need to reconnect with the ocean. Kitesurf brings me that balance.

I discovered kitesurf eight years ago. For a long time, I only had a few sessions whenever I got the chance, because I lived far from the sea. Since moving back to the coast two years ago, I get out on the water as soon as the wind picks up. My favourite spot is still Pont Mahé: stronger wind, a magical stretch of water, and a great vibe with friends... everything I love.

I ride a twin-tip, focusing on freestyle and big air. I progress at my own pace: I want to have fun, feel things click into place, and improve my technique without any pressure.

The sea has always been a part of my life. I've been a sailing instructor and have sailed in the Atlantic, the Caribbean, Africa, and North America... The ocean calms and grounds me.

Today, I ride with CORE gear: Pace kites, a Sensor 4 Pro bar, and an Era board. I love their precision, light weight, and how they keep up with my progression.

For me, becoming an ambassador is about contributing to a more realistic and inclusive representation of kitesurf. It's about showing that women are on the water all year round, that we can ride in winter, in a wetsuit, in challenging conditions, and have just as much fun as anyone else. You don't need to be a pro or fit a perfect image: there are a thousand ways to experience this sport. I'd like to help make that diversity visible.
