KEY INFORMATION
Reedin SnackPack 2026. Hybrid Twintip/Surf Carbon Kitesurf Board
What we like
- Hybrid Twintip/Surf: Boost, loop, and lay down bottom turns, all in one session on a single board.
- Full Carbon Construction: PVC Carbon + Full Carbon Laminate for an exceptional weight-to-stiffness ratio.
- Surf Rails: Surfboard-inspired rails for proper carves and a genuine directional feel.
- Triple Fin: High grip and drive coming off the wave, with solid control during top turns.
- Step Tail: Ensures a clean water release off the tail, while the nose keeps spray out of your face.
- Rail Edging Channels: Channels carved into the bottom of the board for natural grip and aggressive upwind angles.
- Grab Rail: A recessed rail makes it easy to grab the board in the air.
- Comfort on Chop: The full rails skim over chop instead of cutting through, for a much more comfortable ride than a standard twintip.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
One board, two worlds: jumps and waves in the same session
The SnackPack concept was born from Damien Girardin's frustration at Hookipa, Maui. He saw twintip riders boosting big but ignoring the waves on the way back in, and directional riders surfing but unable to load an edge for proper jumps. The SnackPack bridges that gap. Its shape takes the back half of a kite surfboard-outline, rails, and rocker-and mirrors it to create a bidirectional profile. The result is a board that any twintip rider will feel instantly at home on, yet it delivers true front-side carves, top turns, and switch-stance exits off the wave. The entire ocean becomes your skatepark, and you'll quickly find new lines where you used to just see water between boosts.
Carbon construction and geometry designed to handle the load
The SnackPack is built with PVC Carbon + Full Carbon Laminate: it's light and stiff, with no unwanted flex to waste energy on heavy kiteloop landings. The Rail Edging Channels are carved into the bottom for natural grip between your feet, reducing fatigue on long upwind tacks. The full surf rails float over chop instead of plowing through it, making messy conditions much more enjoyable than on a standard twintip. The step tail ensures a clean water release, while the nose deflects spray. The triple fin setup provides the critical grip needed for top turns and fast stance changes. The stance width (56-66 / 56-66 / 57-67 depending on size) is slightly wider than a standard twintip to maximize power coming off a wave. The Grab Rail makes grabs easy. Since the SnackPack was created, Damien Girardin has stopped riding his directional boards-even on Maui.

FAQ
Which SnackPack size should you choose?
The SnackPack comes in 142, 146, and 150 cm. The 142 is for riders from 55-70 kg, the 146 for 70-90 kg, and the 150 for riders over 90 kg. If you're between sizes, go for the larger one for better float in the waves and a smoother ride through chop.
Do you need to be a wave rider to use the SnackPack?
Not at all. The SnackPack was designed so any twintip rider feels comfortable on it straight away. The stance is very similar to a standard twintip, and the Rail Edging Channels provide excellent upwind drive. You'll pick up the wave-riding feel after just a few sessions.
Can you do real jumps and kiteloops with the SnackPack?
Absolutely, that's one of the board's biggest strengths. Its full carbon construction and solid rails are built to absorb heavy landings. It's even more stable than many twintips when landing fast after a kiteloop. Damien Girardin hasn't ridden his directional board since the first prototypes.
