DETAILED DESCRIPTION

3D Paulownia Core and Carbon Stringer: All About Flex

The Process V5 is built on a 3D-shaped paulownia wood core, reinforced with a 50mm carbon stringer running the full length of the board. This combination delivers a progressive, well-balanced flex that soaks up heavy landings and chop, saving your knees from the impact. The stiffer reverse flex loads and releases energy during hard carves for a solid pop on takeoff. Franz Schitzhofer, who has shaped the board since its first version, has optimized the profile for each size to ensure a consistent feel across the entire range. The result is a board that's forgiving at low speeds but won't flex out when you push it hard.

Parabolic PRS Rails and Progressive Channels

The Parabolic Rail System is the major upgrade for this generation. The ABS rails have a parabolic curve instead of a constant thickness, adding grip where you need it most while edging, but tapering at the tips to maintain flex. In practice, you get significantly better upwind tracking, and the board channels spray down and away from you. The progressive channels at the tips, combined with the rail steps, provide extra grip at high speed without creating unwanted drag. The single concave on the bottom reduces friction and helps the board get planing early.

3-Stage Rocker: Get Planing Early, Go Fast

The Process V5 uses a medium three-stage rocker, a profile tuned for freeride. The flatter mid-section helps you get going in light wind and accelerates quickly, while the increased curve at the tips keeps landings smooth and prevents nose-diving in chop. This makes the board accessible for progressing riders while keeping it exciting for experienced kiters: it forgives mistakes, but responds instantly when you load the rail. The elliptical outline with rounded tips completes the shape and makes it easy to lock into hard carves.

Complete Package: Pads, Straps, Fins, and Handle

Unlike many boards in this category sold bare, the Process V5 comes as a complete package. It's equipped with Airgo pads and straps, known for their support and comfort on long sessions, four shock-resistant 45mm G10 fins, and a grab handle. The snowboard-style inserts are among the strongest on the market, guaranteeing a solid and durable setup. The Process V5 is designed for pads and straps and is not compatible with boots. The top sheet is UV-treated to resist fading, making this a board that's built to last.

FAQ

Does the Process V5 come with pads and straps?

Yes! The board is sold as a complete package, including Airgo pads and straps, four 45 mm G10 fins with screws, and a grab handle. It's ready to ride, with no extra parts needed.

Is the 139 x 42.5 the right size for me?

Eleveight rates the 139 x 42.5 for freeride riders from 79 to 88 kg. A lighter rider will find it has plenty of low-end for light wind days, which is great if you often find yourself underpowered. If you're in doubt, give us a call and we'll tell you honestly if it's the right fit.

Is this V5 version still relevant today?

Yes. The Process V5 already featured the PRS parabolic rails and carbon stringer that are still used on current versions. The shape has barely changed since, making this an excellent way to get a high-performance freeride twintip at a price well below a new board from the current collection.

Can it be ridden with boots?

No. The Process V5 is designed for pads and straps only. It is not compatible with boots.
