DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Strapless Freestyle as a Discipline
The 720 IV is CORE's high-performance strapless freestyle board, built for riders who want to blend wave riding and jumps. Its compact shape and slim yet strong construction make it the go-to board for riders who treat strapless freestyle as a serious discipline, not just a bit of fun.
Intuitive Handling
Thanks to its balanced shape and intuitive feel, the board is effortless to ride, even if you have no previous surf experience. This makes it ideal for riders coming from a twintip and taking their first steps in the waves, while still delivering the high performance that experienced riders demand.
Optimized Shape
The 720 IV's optimized shape is now slimmer and has around 15% less tail rocker. This gives you a more direct feel, better light wind performance, and effortless upwind drive. The channels are shallower and now feature a quad concave (a central double concave between two outer concaves) for soft landings and a loose, playful feel, even in chop. The Rocket Tail makes it easy to pop off the water and provides stable, predictable rail-to-rail transitions, while the Grab Rails give you a secure grip for all your freestyle tricks. Light and compact, this board is built for aerials.
Construction and Durability
The 720 IV uses a new glass-epoxy XPS sandwich construction, already proven on the Badger. The XPS core is waterproof, stiffer, and more durable than a standard EPS core. A Soric layer now runs along the full length of the rails, reinforcing structural stability and eliminating weak spots. The infusion lamination process, inspired by Carved's carbon construction, ensures consistent quality and high stiffness, which allows for a much slimmer profile. The Flat Deck distributes flex forces over the entire surface, adding stiffness without adding weight. Certified as an Ecoboard Level One, using recycled plastics and bio-resins, the 720 IV is designed in Germany and handmade in Portugal. The thruster setup comes with the quick-change FCS II system. It comes with a rear traction pad, a leash plug, and FCS II fin boxes.
