The ION Element 5/4 Back Zip women's 2023 is the back zip winter fullsuit from ION's Element series, in its 2023 vintage. Five millimeters on the torso, four on the limbs, Hot_Stuff 2.0 on the chest and back, Silk_Stuff on the upper body, and shin protection. Available in Deep Forest, Concord Blue, or Black.

The Element series, 2023 vintage
The ION Element 5/4 Back Zip women's 2023 is the 5/4 fullsuit with back zip from ION's Element series. ION designed it for women who love being in the water and need little to have a good time. The 2023 vintage is being discontinued by ION; the newer model is also available online.
Hot_Stuff 2.0 and Silk_Stuff Linings
The torso and back are lined with Hot_Stuff 2.0, ION's most elastic thermal lining. It adds warmth and protects against cold wind. Silk_Stuff provides a comfortable fit on the chest and shoulders, with elasticity for the arms.
Seams and details
Critical seams are reinforced: glued blind stitch or flatlock depending on the area, with reinforced stress points. Additional protection is found on the shins.
For what conditions
A 5/4 fullsuit is perfect for winter on the Atlantic coast, from December to March, especially when paired with a hood and boots. Gloves are also recommended. Deep Forest and Concord Blue are available from 34/XS to 40/L; Black is available in 42/XL.

FAQ - ION ELEMENT 5/4 BACK ZIP WOMEN 2023
It's for the rider who hits the water in winter, prefers a back zip, and wants a warm, simple fullsuit with protected shins for kneeling starts on the board.
The ION size guide, located higher on this page, details the height and weight for each size, with the chest circumference also provided. Your fullsuit should fit snugly when dry, with no air pockets. If you're between two sizes, give us a call. The 42/XL is exclusively available in Black, while Deep Forest and Concord Blue come in sizes from 34/XS to 40/L.
After every session, rinse your wetsuit inside out with fresh water. Hang it to dry in the shade on a wide hanger. Never dry it in direct sunlight or on a radiator, and never fold it wet in a bag. Always close the back zip before hanging, and rinse the zipper pull thoroughly; sand is the quickest way to wear out a zip.
We're a dedicated Kite, Wing, and Surf shop located in Pornichet, right on the Atlantic coast. We're out on the water all year round, even when temperatures dip below ten degrees in February.
