The 2025 edition of the Amp series
The ION Amaze Amp 4/3 Back Zip women's 2025 is the 4/3 back zip version from the Amaze Amp series, part of the 2025 winter collection. This is ION's most flexible series. While the 2027 model is also available, the 2025 stands out with its specific linings: Hot_Stuff 2.0 on the front, Plasma_Plush 2.0 and windproof Novaskin fabric in the back, and Silk_Stuff on the shoulders and arms. This model is currently being discontinued by ION.
Elasticity: Max_Flex, Silk_Stuff, I_Foam
The recycled Max_Flex outer lining covers the chest and shoulders. It also covers the neck. ION states it provides 30% more flexibility and quick-drying properties. Inside, the Silk_Stuff on the shoulders and arms allows for free movement. Beneath these linings, the low-density I_Foam neoprene contains oyster shell powder, a filler ION uses for insulation. The shoulders are without a seam, and the number of panels is reduced.
Back zip, watertightness, and seams
Entry is via the back zip, a design that allows for quick, unassisted donning and doffing, keeping the chest panel intact. Silicone prints on the arms and legs minimize water entry. The seams are glued and blind-stitched, reinforced with a flexible tape across the entire interior, and feature strengthened stress points. The arm and leg edges are fused. You'll find thin padding on the shins, along with reinforced drainage holes and separate straps on the legs.
For what conditions
A 4/3 fullsuit is ideal for spring and autumn sessions on the Atlantic coast, when water temperatures hover around 12 to 16 degrees Celsius, and for mild winter days if you don't get cold easily. For full winter conditions from December to March, the Amaze Amp 5/4 Back Zip offers an additional millimeter of neoprene on the torso. Available in five sizes, from 34/XS to 42/XL.

FAQ - ION AMAZE AMP 4/3 BACK ZIP WOMEN 2025
This fullsuit is for riders hitting the Atlantic coast from April to June and September to November, seeking a flexible back zip wetsuit they can easily close themselves. For full winter conditions, the 5/4 from the same series is a better choice.
Both models are from the same series, share the same cut, and feature recycled Max_Flex. The 2027 model introduces updated inner linings (Graphene_Plush 2.0 and Hot_Stuff 2.0 throughout the body, plus recycled Eco_Stretch) and adds the Water_Gate panel behind the back zip. The 2025 retains Hot_Stuff 2.0 in the front and Plasma_Plush 2.0 with Novaskin is in the back. This is a proven winter wetsuit that ION is now phasing out.
The ION size guide, located higher on this page, provides height and weight for each size, along with chest circumference. According to this guide, size 42/XL accommodates heights up to 1.90 m. Your wetsuit should fit snugly when dry, without any air pockets. If you find yourself between two sizes, please give us a call.
Rinse it with fresh water after every session. Turn it inside out and dry it in the shade on a wide hanger. Never dry it in the sun or on a radiator. Never fold it wet in a bag. Close the back zip before hanging it, and rinse the zipper pull with the rest. Sand in a zip is what wears it out.
