The Duotone Volt SLS 2027 is the small to medium wave kite surfboard in the range. It planes with very little traction. Shaped by Sky Solbach, it combines a low entry rocker, volume in the front foot, and a double concave hull shape. This delivers immediate acceleration and precise turns, even when the wave is soft. It features SLS construction and comes in three sizes, from 20.80 to 24.80 liters.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The board for average days
The Volt is designed for those sessions where the wave is soft and your kite does half the work. Duotone states it clearly: this board shines when the surf isn't good. Its low attack rocker, generous volume in the front foot, and planing surface get the board going with very little traction. It then maintains its speed on its own.
The double concave
The refined double concave hull shape provides grip and precision. It lets you close out turns without the rail stalling, while maintaining an aggressive trajectory on the wave face. Whether you're carving tight or pushing a vertical maneuver, the board remains predictable.
Speed with little kite power
The shape generates immediate drive and maintains momentum with minimal kite input. On an underpowered spot, this changes the session: you re-accelerate instead of getting stuck. This characteristic distinguishes the Volt from the Whip and the Blur.
SLS Construction
It features Fiberglass +/- 45°, a carbon T-stringer, and an Innegra wrap. Innegra reduces vibrations and improves durability in chop. The D/LAB version of the same shape weighs approximately 20% less, with carbon +/- 45° and RMF 3.0 damping.
The Cork Shock Absorber 2.0
The cork damping absorbs impacts and reduces chatter. On a fast board that cuts through chop, this keeps your foot planted and your trajectory clean. You'll especially feel the benefit at the end of a session.
Three similar sizes
The Volt comes in 4'11-inch at 20.80 liters, 5'1-inch at 22.50 liters, and 5'3-inch at 24.80 liters. The differences are small, so your choice depends on your body size and style, not on different conditions. A lighter or more playful rider will choose the shortest, while a heavier rider or someone riding in light wind will choose the largest.

FAQ - DUOTONE VOLT SLS 2027
For the kitesurfer who rides in small to medium waves, often underpowered, and wants a board that gets going and maintains speed. This board is for intermediate to advanced directional riders.
Duotone announces a technical carry-over and a new color for 2027. The shape remains unchanged; there was nothing to correct on this model.
Available in 4'11-inch at 20.80 liters, 5'1-inch at 22.50 liters, and 5'3-inch at 24.80 liters. These three sizes are quite close. Your choice will depend more on your body size and riding style than on the conditions. Tell us your weight and your local spot, and we'll help you dial it in.
Early planing. A low attack rocker and volume on the front foot make the board move with very little kite traction. The double concave maintains grip when closing the turn.
Always rinse your board with fresh water, including the fin boxes, and then let it dry in the shade. Before every session, check that the fins' screws are tight, and keep an eye on the rails for any impacts.
Add a deck pad, the Duotone Traction Pad Front 2027, and a surf bag. Fins are included. A wave kite completes the setup.
