The Duotone Traction Pad Pro Back 2027 is the two-piece rear pad Duotone cuts for the tail of its Whip and Volt Surf boards. It also fits the Provoke. It features an outer U-shape, a central strip, 5 mm EVA foam according to Duotone's description, and pre-applied adhesive. This is the part to order when the original pad peels off, tears, or when you want to regain solid grip under your back foot.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
A pad tailored for three boards
Duotone doesn't offer a universal rear pad for its Surf range. This specific pad is designed for the Whip, Volt, and Provoke, as these three boards share the same cut. The longer Blur model has its own dedicated rear pad (product code 44270-8034). Always double-check your board model before ordering.
What's in the bag
You'll find two pieces of EVA foam: a U-shaped piece that frames the tail and a strip that fits in the center. Duotone's description specifies a thickness of 5 mm. The adhesive is already applied to the back, so you just need to remove the film.
Under the back foot
This is where your foot loads the board during bottom turns and finds the kicktail when launching an aerial. The surface is grooved, and the back of the pad rises significantly. For strapless riding, this reference point helps you find your position when loading the board.
Installation, without mistakes
Lightly sand the area if any old adhesive residue remains, then degrease with alcohol. Position both pieces dry before removing the film. First, apply the central strip, then the U-shaped piece, pressing firmly from the center outwards. Wait overnight before hitting the water.

FAQ - DUOTONE TRACTION PAD PRO BACK 2027 (WHIP, VOLT, PROVOKE)
Duotone states it is for the Whip, Volt, and Provoke 2027. For a Blur, use the Traction Pad Pro Back 2027 (Blur), which has a different cut. If you have another model year or brand, send us the board model before ordering.
A two-piece rear pad, an outer U and a central strip, made of EVA foam with the adhesive already applied. The front pad is not included; order it separately (Duotone Traction Pad Front 2027).
The Duotone description states 5 mm. The supplier catalog shows 4 mm in the size field. We will check the first piece received and update the product sheet.
Clean, dry, and degreased surface. Dry fit to mark the placement. Then, glue the central strip before the U, pressing firmly everywhere. Let the adhesive set overnight before your first session.
