DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The Resin Deck
The deck measures 31 inches long by 9.88 inches wide, featuring a square tail shape and a 17-inch wheelbase. It's easy to transport and store, a key feature when you take it everywhere. The deck is built from seven plies of maple. Carver describes the Resin as the board that defines what a surfskate should be: a perfectly balanced shape that works for all riding styles and levels.
The CX truck system in detail
The CX is Carver's single-axis truck system. Its patented geometry uses a reverse kingpin set at 90 degrees, allowing the hanger to pivot significantly more than a classic skate truck, while a precision pivot ensures immediate response when loaded. Carver likens the ride feel to that of a modern thruster surfboard: sharp turns, clean cut-backs, and a fast, progressive ride. With fewer moving parts, it also requires less maintenance than the C7 and weighs the same as a traditional truck. This makes it the choice for shortboard surfers and riders who frequently hit the skatepark for transitions or aerials. The rear truck is a Carver C2.
Original setup
This board comes fully assembled and ready to ride. It ships from the factory with 65 mm Roundhouse Slicks wheels, Carver ABEC 7 bearings integrated directly into the wheel, two 3/16-inch Carver risers (totaling 3/8-inch), and 1.25-inch Carver countersunk hardware. Roundhouse wheels are Carver's in-house line, specifically designed for surfskating: their profile and compound prioritize grip when loaded and smooth rolling over pure speed. Nothing to add or assemble; just pull it out of the box and go.
CX or C7: which to choose?
CX trucks deliver an authentic surf feel on pavement, perfect for tight turns and fast riding. This board is suitable for beginners and experienced riders who want to refine their technique and explore new terrain. It comes complete and ready to ride. Carver sums up the choice between its two systems like this: the CX offers a snappier rail-to-rail feel, while the C7 provides a smoother, more drawn-out surf sensation. This model is available with both setups. If you're unsure which to choose, give us a call: we'll guide you based on your riding style, usual terrain, and your surfing background.
