DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The Resin Deck
The deck is 31 inches long by 9.88 inches wide, with a square tail shape and a 17-inch wheelbase. This length gives you a comfortable stance. The deck is built from seven plies of maple. Carver presents the Resin as the board that defines what a surfskate should be: a perfectly balanced shape that works for all riding styles and skill levels.
The C7 truck system in detail
The C7 is Carver's dual-axis truck system. A swing arm and the kingpin work together to create two dimensions of movement, lateral travel and tilt, where a standard truck only offers one. A spring in the base compresses through turns and is adjusted with a screw, allowing both axes to be set independently. The turning arc is wider than the CX's, giving it a broader ride feel. Carver compares it to a single-fin surfboard, where pumping comes naturally. It's the system of choice for longboard surfers and anyone looking for a fluid ride. It is slightly heavier than the CX and is paired with a Carver C2 rear truck.
Factory Setup
This board comes fully assembled and ready to ride. It ships from the factory with 65mm Roundhouse Slicks wheels, Carver ABEC 7 bearings integrated directly into the wheel, two 3/16-inch Carver risers (totaling 3/8-inch), and a 1.25-inch Carver countersunk screw set. Roundhouse wheels are Carver's in-house line, specifically designed for surfskating: their profile and compound prioritize grip when loaded and smooth rolling over pure speed. No assembly or additions needed; just unbox and hit the pavement!
CX or C7: which to choose?
The C7 system delivers an authentic surf feel on pavement. This board is great for carving and cruising, as well as freestyle and surf training. It comes complete and ready to ride. Carver sums up the choice between its two systems like this: the CX for a quicker, snappier rail-to-rail feel, and the C7 for that smoother, more drawn-out surf flow. This model is available with both truck setups. If you're on the fence, give us a call. We'll help you choose based on your riding style, your local spots, and your surfing background.
