Article updated February 2026
The F-ONE Swing V3 marks a turning point in the F-ONE range thanks to the new Hitex and Technoforce/D2 fabrics, which make the wings stiffer and more performant. More compact and with more depth than the Strike V3, the Swing V3 focuses on riding comfort, easy planing, and freeride/freewave versatility. Oscar from GlissEvolution chose it in 4 m² and 5.5 m² to replace his quiver, and Yves Baudoux tested it in 4.5 m² upon receipt. Here are their reviews.
This test in brief
The Swing V3 is F-ONE's allround wing, softer and more compact than the Strike V3. It excels in riding comfort, low-end, and neutrality. The compact shape (10 cm less wingspan than the Strike in 4.5) facilitates maneuvers and makes the wing very enjoyable in waves. The Hitex and Nano Ripstop fabrics provide stiffness and lightness.

Oscar from GlissEvolution: Review
Oscar
GlissEvolution Team | Sizes chosen: 4 m² and 5.5 m² | Freeride / FreewaveTheir analysis
There's no denying it, we're stepping up a gear with this year's new wing materials. Whether it's Duotone with the MOD3 or F-ONE with Hitex and Technoforce/D2, the wings are stiffer and more performant. The F-ONE Strike V3, with its elongated shape, is incredibly performant; you can feel it in your arms, stiff like a windsurf sail. Oscar was amazed by its ability to go upwind and provide lift for jumps. The Swing V3, on the other hand, is more compact and has more depth, distinguishing itself with its comfortable ride, low-end power, and neutrality. Oscar chose the Swing in 4 m² and 5.5 m² to replace his quiver of wings: according to him, it's the best compromise for a freeride, freewave, and occasional jumps use.
Yves Baudoux's review
Yves Baudoux
Size tested: 4.5 m² | Southern Finistère | Low-wind conditionsFirst impressions
Having just received the new Swing V3 4.5, Yves went in search of wind all the way to Southern Finistère. In his opinion, this new Swing is going to be a hit. While the Strike is explosive, the Swing V3 is a little gem. It shares the same design innovations as the Strike V3: Hitex fabric for the Leading Edge, new Nano Ripstop canopy, and semi-rigid handles. It's solid, but still just as light. What's striking from the start is its compact shape: 10 cm less wingspan than the Strike V3 in 4.5.
Feeling on the water
While riding, it's pure joy for playing majorette. It's excellent for easy planing, where the Strike V3 is more technical for some. Slightly and reasonably deeper, the power is immediate even when stationary, which is interesting for intermediate riders and users of small-volume boards. The Swing takes off just as early (or even slightly earlier) than the Strike V3 but so much more easily, a real plus between sets near the shore.
Yves's conclusion
The upwind performance is very good, quite close to the Strike. But what distinguishes the Swing is that it's smoother, whereas the Strike V3 has more lively accelerations. The Strike goes faster and certainly provides better lift, but this Swing V3 will be the perfect wing in waves and beyond. In summary, for Yves: the Strike V3 is a little bomb and the Swing V3 is a little gem. Yves specifies that he has only tested it in low-wind conditions and is waiting to see how it performs in high wind.

Who is it for?
✅ The Swing V3 is for you if…
- You want an allround freeride/freewave wing
- You prioritize comfortable riding and ease of use
- You ride waves and want a compact, maneuverable shape
- You're an intermediate rider looking to progress
- You use a small-volume board
Think twice if…
- You're looking for pure performance, maximum speed, and Big Air (prefer the Strike)
- You want a model still in the catalog (the Swing V5 has taken over)
- You want maximum lift for jumps
Verdict
The F-ONE Swing V3 stands out as the ultimate freeride/freewave wing in the F-ONE range. Its compact shape, comfortable handling, and easy planing make it an ideal choice for riders who want to ride in all conditions without overcomplicating things. The Hitex and Nano Ripstop fabrics provide the necessary stiffness without sacrificing lightness. If you're hesitating between the Swing and Strike, remember that Oscar chose it for his daily quiver and Yves calls it a "little gem." The range has since evolved to the Swing V5, but the fundamentals that make this wing so enjoyable are still there.
Our opinion in one sentence
"The Strike V3 is a little bomb, the Swing V3 is a little gem."
