DETAILED DESCRIPTION
A board designed for committed riding.
Project Drag boards are designed for swell and wave riders. Created by Ken Adgate and Kyle Touhey for aggressive turns, messy touchdowns, and real ocean conditions, they remain stable when you're pushing hard. With its unique rocker line, rounded bottom, and aggressive rail edges, the board releases cleanly from the water and prevents rail catch when you're laying into a turn. This is a board built by riders who push boundaries, made to maintain control and speed when you're fully committed.
Key shape characteristics.
The rounded bottom allows the nose and front section to lift quickly and cleanly from the water during touchdowns. Aggressive front rail edges reduce rail catches, allowing the board to redirect rather than stopping you in your tracks. The increased tail rocker prevents the tail from sticking, which frees up your pumping and improves maneuverability. Finally, the rocker profile is matched to the curve of the swell for a more natural feel. The rocker, rail geometry, and balanced design all work together to eliminate any unwanted handling quirks once you're up on foil.
Direct board / foil connection.
The Project Drag comes with two mounting systems. The integrated Tuttle box creates a direct, rigid, and low-drag connection between the board and the foil for enhanced control. The carbon track version also offers a rigid, direct link for precise steering. In both cases, the board is designed as a complete system with the mast and foil, creating a more direct connection and reliable performance across different riding conditions.
Who's it for?
The Project Drag is for you if you ride downwind or in the open ocean, want a board that recovers cleanly after touchdowns, and like to push for speed and carve hard. It excels in parawing downwind runs, wing freeride sessions, and fast open ocean conditions. It's also suitable for a wide range of disciplines: beginner, freestyle, freeride, surf / prone, wave riding, and parawing.

FAQ
What sets the Project Drag boards apart?
These boards are designed for hard turning, not take-off. The shape is focused on maintaining control and speed when you're fully committed to a turn.
How do they perform during touchdowns?
The rounded hull and aggressive front rail edges allow the board to release quickly from the water, preventing any sticking or catching.
Why is the tail rocker different?
The increased tail rocker prevents the tail from sticking during pumping and helps the board stay above the water in choppy conditions.
What type of riding are they designed for?
For parawing downwind runs, wing freeride, and high-speed open ocean conditions.
Track or Tuttle: Which foil box should you choose?
Your choice depends on your mast and foil's mounting system. The Track version uses carbon rails, while the Tuttle version has an integrated Tuttle box. Both provide a rigid, direct connection between the board and the foil. If you're unsure about compatibility, please contact us.
