The Duotone Paradox SLS 2026 is a dedicated Parawing foil board, developed alongside the Stash 2026. Its refined surf-style outline, step tail, and beveled rails reduce the wetted surface area for an ultra-early take-off and a direct connection to the foil. Built with a lightweight Biax Carbon construction, it comes in 5 sizes from 5'1-inch (45 L) to 6'7-inch (105 L).
KEY INFORMATION
What we like
- Ultra-fast Parawing take-off: The reduced wetted surface allows for efficient pumping while the board is still on the water, letting you take off with less power in the wing.
- Pumping between sections: The low rocker and front foot placement make for longer, more energy-efficient downwind runs.
- Step tail & surf outline: The step tail and beveled rails provide precise control through turns and a smooth, connected feel with the foil.
- Lightweight Biax Carbon construction: Minimises swing weight with a pulled-in nose and tail for maximum responsiveness.
- Versatile performance: Designed for Parawing, it also excels in Wing, Foil Assist, and even Prone for experienced riders.
- Integrated front strap inserts: Offers a front strap option for riders who want to ride with one foot strapped. Strap not included.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Born for Parawing
The Paradox SLS was developed alongside the 2026 Stash Parawing. Extending a Parawing's range isn't just about the wing's design; the board plays a crucial role in take-off. With the goal of achieving the most unrestricted flight possible, the Paradox SLS is shaped for easy pumping and precise control in turns, making it the perfect tool for riding swell.
Surf Outline, Step Tail & Beveled Rails
The refined surf-style outline, step tail, and beveled rails reduce the wetted surface area. This allows for efficient planing and lets you pump onto the foil even while the board is still touching the water. The result is a highly efficient take-off, getting you up on foil with less power from the wing. The low rocker and front foot placement make pumping between sections especially effective.
Thin Deck & Recessed Stance Area
The recessed stance area offers excellent control and a smooth, connected feel in turns. The board features integrated inserts for a front strap (strap not included) and a lightweight Biax Carbon construction that minimises swing weight. The long US foil tracks accommodate a wide range of foils and setup preferences.
Versatility Beyond Parawing
While the Paradox SLS is the ultimate tool for riding swells with a Parawing, its surf-inspired outline also allows experienced riders to use it for Prone Foiling, Foil Assist, or Wing Foiling with a freefly focus. It's a single board that covers a wide range of disciplines for riders looking for an efficient take-off and a true surf feel on the foil.
PARADOX SLS VS SKYBRID VS MIDFISH
Summary of official comparisons published by Duotone.
| Criterion | Paradox SLS | Skybrid | Midfish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Main Discipline | Parawing downwind, freefly, surf foil, Foil Assist, Prone (small sizes) | All-round Wing Foil, straps and jumping | Foil Assist (dedicated board) |
| Rocker | Lower for earlier take-off and more efficient pumping | Better high-speed control in wing foiling | - |
| Hull Shape | Reduced wetted surface: beveled rails, pointed nose, step tail | Wider for more stability and forgiveness | Wider than the Paradox SLS |
| Handling | More agile and surf-oriented for experienced riders | More stable and easier to handle at high speeds | Good control in turns |
| Length | Longer in larger sizes for more glide and an early take-off in Parawing | Comparable in small volumes | - |
| Construction | Lightweight, similar to Crush / Midfish | Built for jumping and riding with two footstraps | Similar construction to the Paradox SLS |
| Footstraps | Front strap only (not designed for jumping) | Two-strap setup possible; built for jumping | - |
| Parawing take-off | Earliest | Later | Later take-off (due to wider hull) |
| Ideal for | Strapless Parawing, small waves, swell | Fast winging with straps, occasional jumping | Parawing in windy conditions |
The bottom line: the Paradox SLS is the most efficient option for Parawing downwind. For riding faster, jumping, or using a full footstrap setup, choose the Skybrid. For Foil Assist, go with the Midfish.

FAQ, DUOTONE PARADOX SLS 2026
According to Duotone, the Paradox SLS is aimed at parawingers and experienced wing foilers who ride freefly, mostly strapless, in small waves or swell. It can also be used for Prone Foil, Foil Assist, and Wing freefly. It is not designed for jumping.
Duotone states that the Paradox SLS has a lower rocker, a reduced wetted surface (beveled rails, pointed nose, step tail), and a lighter construction. This allows it to take off earlier and pump more efficiently for Parawing. The Skybrid offers more stability and better control at high speeds, and allows for jumping with both feet in footstraps (except for the Skybrid D/LAB). The Paradox SLS cannot be used for jumping.
Yes, its surf outline also works well for experienced riders who focus on freefly winging. Duotone specifies that it is not designed for jumping. For all-round wing foiling with jumps and a full footstrap setup, you should go for the Skybrid.
The choice is mainly based on the rider weight recommendations from Duotone:
- 5'1-inch / 45 L: for riders under 55 kg.
- 5'5-inch / 60 L: for riders under 70 kg.
- 5'9-inch / 75 L: for riders under 85 kg.
- 6'2-inch / 90 L: for riders under 100 kg.
- 6'7-inch / 105 L: for riders under 115 kg.
Duotone notes that the smaller volumes (5'1-inch and 5'5") are intended for advanced riders or windier conditions, whereas the longer models provide more glide for an earlier take-off in Parawing. If you're in doubt, contact us; our expert advisors will help you choose based on your skill level and riding style.
The board has integrated inserts for a single front strap only. Straps are not included. The Duotone V-Strap or Single Strap are available separately.
