DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Dual Rocker Design
At the heart of this V2 is a completely redesigned bottom. More pronounced rail lines combine with a unique dual rocker configuration: a curved rail rocker to control the foil's angle, and a straighter, extended center line that improves planing and lift. These two lines merge in the center of the board to create a flatter, more efficient section, making it easier to get the board moving. The gain in pumping and glide compared to the V1 is significant.
Redesigned Rails and Tail
The rail profile has been completely re-engineered. The harder rail offers slightly more tracking but delivers significantly better release, with sharper contact points that are especially crucial during touchdowns. The outer curve of the rail now rises more abruptly towards the tail, freeing it up and giving the board a more dynamic and responsive feel. Plus, a sharper nose rail further enhances front-end lift.
High-Performance Deck
The deck features a "spoiler" design towards the tail for optimal drainage, while the stance area has a front concave that channels water towards the rear outlets. The pumping zone is reinforced by a hex-skin plate, making this the stiffest deck Appletree has ever built. This rigidity is essential for efficiently transmitting pumping energy to the foil.
Premium carbon construction
Like all Appletree foil boards, the Skipper DW V2 is built with 100% carbon construction over exclusive 50K closed cell foam. Despite using this slightly heavier foam, the total weight is reduced thanks to a super-light finish. The FUTURES oneshot foil attachment is CNC cut and integrated into a high-density PET honeycomb panel sandwiched with carbon. Rail tape and an additional bottom layer add durability.
