DETAILED DESCRIPTION
A complete and high-performance parawing
The Focus is the ALTIS parawing designed for a complete practice: easy take-off, efficient upwind performance, reaching the packing zone, quickly packing the kite, and then fully enjoying the ride. Lightweight, stable, and responsive, it offers direct steering, excellent depower, and intuitive handling, from the first run to the most committed sessions. Its objective is clear: to help the rider achieve their goals on the water without complicating the session.
Simplified packing
The single-skin design, short bridle, and spliced Dyneema Pack A-Lines facilitate packing and redeployment. The Pack A-Lines allow you to reach the Leading Edge and gather the battens in a single motion. Reduced bridle lengths and an A/B/C/D color code make setup simple and quick, for continuous runs: take off, go upwind, pack, surf, redeploy.
Direct steering and efficient depower
The Focus offers precise bar feedback: the kite is easy to place and power is simple to control. The depower handle allows for better power control and increased comfort when the wind picks up. Coupled with the adjustable harness line, the depower lets you adjust the kite's feel according to the wind, your level, and your program.
Durable materials
The Focus parawing uses a 31 g hydrophobic spinnaker, with reinforcements at all stress points and strong battens. This design strikes a good balance between weight and longevity. The entire parawing remains lightweight while standing up to the demands of repeated sessions.
Clean Bar
The bar adopts a deck architecture: streamlined bar, comfortable grip, and protected hands. This choice prioritizes direct sensitivity to the kite and clean steering in all conditions.
Adjustable harness line and backpack
The harness line position is adjustable, letting you choose more freedom, depower, stability, or power depending on the conditions. The included backpack is lightweight and simple to use. It is designed for actual use, made to be forgotten while riding.
FOCUS OR FOCUS HYBRID: HOW TO CHOOSE?
| Focus | Focus Hybrid | |
|---|---|---|
| Bar feel | Light, direct, free, responsive | Stable, smooth, settled, more support and feedback |
| Bar pressure | Low, the parawing is forgotten | More present, dampens wind variations |
| Behavior | Natural, intuitive, responsive | Stable in trajectory, stays on a rail, forgiving, impossible frontals |
| Construction | Single skin | Hybrid |
| Ideal program | Light wind, upwind, downwind, freeride, waves, compact packing | Strong wind (small sizes), fast freeride and speed (large sizes) |
| Level | Beginner to expert | All levels in small sizes, intermediate to expert in 4.9 and 5.6 |
In short
Choose the Focus for simplicity, lightness, easy take-off, the most intuitive packing, upwind, downwind, or wave riding.
Choose the Focus Hybrid 2.8, 3.5 or 4.2 for maximum stability and safety in strong winds. This parawing stays in place, maintains its trajectory, and forgives mishandling.
Choose the Focus Hybrid 4.9 or 5.6 if you are an intermediate to expert rider looking for a stable, fast, and high-performance parawing for freeride or speed, even in light wind. Upwind performance remains very close to the Focus; the difference is in trajectory stability.

FAQ
Who is the ALTIS Focus for?
The Focus is a complete parawing that's accessible to everyone, from beginner to expert. Its intuitive handling, stability, and simplified packing make it easy to understand from your very first runs. It also delivers the performance and precision that more experienced riders demand.
Which Focus size should I choose?
Your choice depends on your weight, skill level, equipment, and the conditions. As a guide for a rider weighing around 75 kg: choose 2.6 m² for strong wind (23+ knots), 3.3 m² (18-30), 4.0 m² (16-27), 4.7 m² (14-25), and 5.4 m² for light wind (11-22). Many riders start with two complementary sizes, depending on their spot.
What are the benefits of a single-skin parawing?
Single-skin construction prioritizes lightness, simplicity, and ease of packing. Combined with the short bridle and A-Lines pack, it lets you fold and redeploy the kite quickly. This means you can link take-off, upwind performance, packing, and surf.
How does packing work with A-Lines Packs?
The spliced Dyneema A-Lines pack lets you reach the Leading Edge and gather the battens in a single motion. With the short bridle and the A/B/C/D color code, packing and redeploying become simple and fast.
What is the depower handle for?
The depower handle provides better power control and increases comfort when the wind picks up. Combined with the adjustable harness line, it lets you adjust the kite's feel according to the wind, your level, and your riding style.
What does the Focus pack include?
The Focus comes with the kite, a size-matched bar, a harness line, and a lightweight backpack designed for real-world use. The harness is not included.
How to maintain your Focus?
Rinse with fresh water after each session. Let it dry in the shade before storage, and never store the kite while it's still wet. Regularly check the condition of the bridle and battens. Store the kite in the provided backpack, away from direct UV rays.
