Introduction
Here's my feedback after testing the all-new Duotone Whip D/LAB 2025 in varied conditions: flat water and waves between 1 and 2 meters. It's like reuniting with a long-awaited bride... I've dreamed of this board, and it's finally here. And frankly, it doesn't disappoint!
First impressions
Visually, it's sublime. The exposed carbon gives it an instantly recognizable high-end look. And from the very first runs, the feeling is incredible. You immediately sense that something has changed: the widest point is narrower at the front, which clearly improves its behavior in waves. The work done with D/LAB technology is felt from the first turns.
Surf Performance
What struck me in the Surf is the confidence it inspires in hollow waves. You feel much less apprehensive when the waves get hollow, you maintain control, and most importantly, you progress. Turns are smoother, the board responds better, and surfing simply becomes more fun and instinctive.
Air and Freestyle
For freestyle, the Whip D/LAB is a true aerial toy. The balance in flight is excellent, whether grabbing or not. The board supports you in your tricks without ever letting you down. It's stable, predictable, and genuinely motivating to push your limits.
