Design and Ecology
The Slick Concept Blue 2024 features a white design with discreet logos, minimizing graphic printing. This choice reflects a commitment to reducing its ecological footprint: water- and energy-efficient production, bio-sourced bladders, and recycled plastic components.
Durability and Comfort
The MOD3 fabric significantly enhances the wing's durability. Say goodbye to deformation over time; the Slick 2024 maintains its stiffness for a long lifespan. Improved Freefly handles offer a more comfortable grip, and the lightweight, easy-to-install Platinum boom provides stability while riding.
Wave and Freestyle Adaptability
While the Slick Concept Blue excels in freeride, it also holds its own in waves, though purists might prefer the Unit for that style of riding. The wing remains stable and compact, suitable for challenging conditions thanks to its jumping performance and ability to maintain pull during aerial maneuvers. Compared to previous versions, there's a clear improvement in stability in gusty winds.
Sizes and Prices
The wing is available in 8 sizes, from 3 m² to 6.5 m². The 2024 price ranged between €969 and 1.€149 depending on the size, slightly higher than the classic version. This extra cost is justified by the ecological improvements and material quality.
Joel's Feedback
Joel
Flat Session in La Baule | Wing Tested with Benjamin from Wing LatitudeConditions: La Baule, flat water, gusty conditions
Session Impressions
Great session in La Baule on super flat water. The joy with this new Slick Blue Concept: it's very pleasant, pumping is easy, and Joel can sheet in more easily than with his other wing with rigid handles. No discomfort in the gusts. The only minor drawback: the deflation and packing technique into the bag is different at the end of the session. Joel thanks Benjamin from Wing Latitude school for the loan. The wing is now part of his quiver, in eco mode for a bit more respect for the environment.
✅ Key Feedback
- Easy pumping and more natural sheeting in than with rigid handles
- Stable in gusts, no discomfort
- MOD3: durable stiffness, no deformation
- Comfortable and stable Platinum Boom while riding
