DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The Strike QuadX: The Reference for Speed and Tracking
The Strike is the F-One wing built for high speed and excellent upwind performance. The sixth-generation QuadX version keeps the proven profile and Sweep Control Panel, which maintain trailing edge tension while allowing lateral flex for pumping. Its new fabric adds even more stiffness. On the water, this means a wing that stays stable when powered up, accelerates cleanly, and doesn't deform when you sheet in.
The QuadX Fabric
QuadX is F-One's in-house laminate: a four-layer, 125 g/m² material that places the PET film inside the fabric, not on the outside. This protects the film from abrasion and UV rays, solving the main weakness of composite wings. The construction uses a tear-resistant Ultra-PE weave, Ultra-PE X-fibers to stabilize the bias, the inner PET film to control stretch, and an outer polyester layer to handle abrasion.
Why a 4 m²?
The 4.0 m² is the size most riders use all year round. For a rider between 65 and 80 kg, it covers steady winds from 18-20 knots and handles gusts without flinching. Paired with a high-lift foil, its low-end range extends even further. It's also the size where the Strike feels best: small enough to be lively, yet large enough for great power delivery.
The Carbon Boom to Match
This wing comes with the F-One Carbon Boom V2 in 90 cm, the specified length for 3.0 to 4.0 m² wings. The boom changes your connection to the wing: you can place your hands anywhere you want, continuously adjust your grip based on your course, and get direct power transfer for pumping.
